We (the manufacturers) sit in the middle of our suppliers and our customers.
Not an easy place to be!
Since we are a job-shop, we cannot plan our needs ahead of time. I will still call/email anytime I have a quote so that I get the current price. If lead times are going out, I would like to know that at the time the material is quoted.
